Thursday 14th January, Makar Sankranti 2010 will be celebrated by Hindus around the world. In India this festival is celebrated each year as a Festival ofHarvest. The festival is also featured as the kite flying celebration.

Makar Sankrant is considered to be one of the most auspicious festivals for the Hindus. It is celebrated in various parts of the country with extreme zeal and fervor. In Gujarat and Rajasthan, it is known Uttararayan while in Northern part of the country; it is known as Sankranti, in Tamil Nadu, it is known as Pongal. Apart from India, it is also celebrated in Nepal, Malaysia and Thailand. It is celebrated with great devotion, fervor and gaiety as the harvest festival of the state at many places in the Indian subcontinent. It is one of the few chosen Indian festivals which are celebrated on the same date every year i.e. on 14th January.

Hi All,

I would like to focus on the Drastically changes in the environment. We are not worring now but it will affect too much on our coming generation. I remembered when i was child i was waiting for winter season, rainy season and many things but now nothing is fixed. Any time raining, full hot and for nameless winter season. Any time we thought why it's happening.......NO.
Ask this question to your self, you will get answer.

Now a days trees are less and vehicles has been increased, many new factories, machinery plants has come. Every where full pollution is there. We are unable to take fresh breathe. But even we are not thinking for this. We are thinking that i should not get late for office, i will complete my work on time. On weekend i will watch a new movie or i will service my bike or car.....and so on works we have.

If we will not take any initative this time then we have to ready for result.
